The time sheet input now has a "Remarks" column, where you can add remarks about the time sheet entry.

This is a major update to DocuMan and we have now progressed to version 2.1. You must download this script and execute it, otherwise you will not be able to run DocuMan after you update it. Since this is a major update, we request you to create a backup of the MySQL database before running the script.

 You should also download the latest version of the DocuMan Configurator Utility as well as several new and updated reports. These reports should be placed in the "Reports" folder under the DocuMan installation folder on extraction.

 Document states can now be configured so that you can provide your own specification for the various work flow stages. Please note that the number of stages is fixed at eight and you cannot modify the "Work in progress" and "Issued" stages.

 The Knowledge Base interface is now very similar to the Documents interface. You can categorize entries up to five levels and the same will be shown in tree form, project wise or general.

 Issued documents can now have a quality tag associated with them, based on customer feedback on the same.

 Guest login has been implemented. You can use the login name of "GUEST" with no password to get read-only access to any project. Please note that this will not work if you are accessing DocuMan remotely. You need not create a "GUEST" login in the User Manager for this to work.

 You can now provide up to six contact persons in each Contact Information, with their designations, names, mobile numbers and e-mail IDs. The existing fixed designations of CEO, COO, Branch Manager, etc have been removed.

 You can now configure project classes and have any number of classes you require. Configuration of these project classes are to be done by the System Administrator using the MySQL Query Browser until we update the DocuMan Configuration. The script provided will create the necesary tables and the existing default project classes, so that you can continue using your existing projects. You must download this script and execute it, otherwise you will not be able to run DocuMan after you update it.

 Attachment in messages can now be downloaded even if the current project is not set.

 When a document is given a new revision number, you can now specify a reason for the revision. You must download this script and execute it, otherwise you will not be able to create or edit your documents after you update DocuMan.
   

If there is a script to download, you should first right-click on the link and save the file on your system by choosing "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As...". You can then open the ".sql" file in the MySQL Query Browser using "File->Open Script..." and then click on "Execute" on the right. If there are reports to be downloaded, you should save them in the "Reports" sub-folder under the DocuMan folder on the server and on laptops, if they are using the Single User version.

You can check the version you are currently running in the Login dialog or in the About dialog. If you are not upgrading from the immediate previous version, please ensure that you have updated the database from all the versions immediately after the version you have by downloading any script files as specified in that version's changelog.
